'The Blocktunes' debut album of 150 songs, both generative and 1-of-1, have minted

The owner of each NFT owns the copyright to the master recording of that track (see T&Cs)

So who are the Blocktunes? They’re both real and fictional. In reality, 54 talented artists from around the globe submitted music stems (drums, bass, chords and vocals) and from this we created 501 songs, mostly generative. 150 songs have been minted to date, 50 for the treasury, 50 for the public at 0.18eth each and 50 TBA

We are sowing the seeds of the soundtrack for web3, whilst simultaneously flipping the current model of creating music on it’s head, rewarding musicians involved with a % of ether royalties… forever. Almost all of our music has been collected, our music logic tool has been built, our smart contract is complete and we plan to release our creation to the world in soon! Yes, everything will be set and ready to go once all our available POAPs have been collected!

However, in the fictional world… the metaverse let’s say… the Blocktunes are a band created from all corners of web3. A group of musically talented cats, rats and women, managed by a block of butter, who are yet to catch a break. They've been burned by the music industry, are looking for a fairer model to distribute their music and they have nothing to lose (outside of their stage floor collapsing). Things may be about to change for this unusual group of misfits: with their new method of creating generative music, they might have just stumbled upon something..
